Details

One of the most influential plays of the 20th century, "Woyzeck" is performed in its native German in a new adaptation by student Benjamin Schaper. Abused by inhumane experiments and the bullying of his elitist superiors, Georg Büchner’s hero, Woyzeck, is placed firmly in the 21st century. Büchner’s iconic character shines a light on contemporary issues, with a focus on adoption rights for same-sex couples. Performed in German with subtitles.
