1st Annual FREE Family 101: 5K Walk Saturday, May 31st 8am to 10am New Bethel Church Outreach Ministry will host its Annual Community Block Party. This year's Block Party will start with our 1st Annual FAMILY 101: 5K Walk and Kids Miracle Mile Run on Saturday, May 31st from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. The 5K will begin and end at the New Bethel Church (745 Walker Avenue, Kansas City, KS). This Walk is appropriately named, "FAMILY 101" because it represents not only the Wyandotte County zip code, "66101", but it also focuses on the idea of going back to the basics of family. Unity, Health, Education and Building a Stronger Community are just a few issues that the NBC Outreach Ministry, NBC Health & Wellness Ministry, NBC THINKFAST Sports Ministry and NBC Community Development Corporation are addressing. We are encouraging all families, community organizations, businesses, and government agencies to register for the 1st FAMILY 101: 5K Walk and Kids Miracle Mile Run. Celebrities from the Kansas City area such as Representatives from the Harlem Globetrotters, Television Personnel, Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders and many others will be present to support this awesome event and sign autographs for those that attend! This year's block party will include Free Health Screenings with Healthcare Professionals.
