The UK Physician Assistant class of 2016 is planning a 5K run in honor of National Physician Assistant Week. This is an annual event intended to spread knowledge of the PA profession to both our interprofessional colleagues and the general public, while also emphasizing the importance of healthcare providers actively promoting a healthy lifestyle. A portion of proceeds will go to benefit Surgery on Sunday, a nonprofit organization providing essential outpatient surgical services free-of-charge to income-eligible individuals and families who do not have health insurance and are not eligible for federal or state assistance. Pre-register by October 15th....$15 students or PAs/$20 public, and receive a free tshirt! Online registration to be posted soon.
