The second event in the series Living Better is happy to have Shennen Bersani, children's author and illustrator talk about her new book, "Achoo! Why Pollen Counts." Ms. Bersani, a long time Brocktonian, has led many children's programs at Brockton Public Library and has exhibited her works in the Joseph A. Driscoll Gallery over the years. Her work has grown from landscapes and portraits to dazzlingly detailed and realistic depictions of sea life to warm and humorous illustrations of animals, even the reptiles! This is Ms. Bersani's first role as author; she had illustrated books by Jerry Pallotta. Afterwards, Sharon Quint and Shennen Bersani will lead the children in craft activites related to the book. Meanwhile, Cliff Youse from the Plymouth County Beekeepers Association, will talk about everything you need to know regarding modern beekeeping including colony collapse. To top the evening off, a member of the MA Right to Know GMO’s will explain what GMO’s are and why the consumer should be concerned. Living Better event is free and open to the public Contact: Lucia M. Shannon 08-580-7890 x 203 [email protected] for more information Location: Lingos Auditorium Main Library
