Join me for a live Diane Sawyer Exclusive Interview with Miss Piggy, where she speaks about her new celebrity cause – Ecology, her chance encounters with earth goddesses (Sita, Loowit and Gaia) from three different mythological traditions, and her upcoming directorial debut – Escape from Taxidermy. The performance will be peppered with video clips from production interviews and dreams, and the trailer for the aforementioned film! This piece is presented as the culmination of an artist residency at Montclair State University. When: Friday, May 3, 2:30pm Where: Montclair State University, University Hall, Room 1010 Dr. Ashwin Vaidya, Dr. Mika Munakata and Artist-in-Residence Anuj Vaidya will talk about the pedagogy of integrating creative thinking and interdisciplinary approaches to this project – a fusion of artistic concepts and physical science – which uses human-powered energy solutions (hand-cranks and bicycles) towards the creation of short films, which will be presented as part of the live performance. This project hopes to spark conversations around collaboration and sustainability in both scientific and artistic practice.
