>>>HOST CITY (SUBIC BAY) PROFILE>>>

Perhaps, you may be wondering why among all popular tourist destinations in the Philippines, Subic Bay has been chosen by D-3790 to host APRRC 2011. Well, just like the old school, it all typically starts with the very simple ABC!

A stands for Accessibility and Adventure.
B stands for exceptional Bay life to experience and
C stands for Civilization to rediscover!

Subic Bay is situated along the Province of Zambales, chartered City of Olongapo, and adjacent Province of Bataan. It is administered by an autonomous government – the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority where several local Rotaractors are affiliated. The entire autonomous government unit is used to be a US naval base for many years and has been converted into an international Freeport zone, making it known as the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

It is very accessible to the neighboring cities and provinces of the Philippines so as with the neighboring Southeast Asian countries.

>>>THE VENUE - SUBIC BAY EXHIBITION AND CONVENTION CENTER>>>

The Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center (SBECC), with a total floor area of 12,000 sqm, is so far the biggest convention area in Central Luzon, Philippines. SBECC is great for product launching, marketing events, concerts/extravaganzas, bazaars, indoor sport events and other events like the APRRC. Within SBECC are two conference halls. Plenary 1 and Plenary 2 can accommodate a maximum of 3,000 and 5,000 pax, respectively.

Some of the national and international events concluded in Subic Bay are Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, Philippine National Advertising Congress, International and National Sporting Events, International Beauty Pageants, International Cultural Events, and various Rotary & Rotaract events.
