The West End Park and Open Space Commission is pleased to announce the “First Annual” Dave Fleetwood Memorial Trail Run/Walk at the West End Regional Park on Sunday, September 21 at 9am. The 3.1 mile race/walk honors Dave Fleetwood who was tragically killed during a public meeting on August 5, 2013 at the Ross Township Municipal Building, Saylorsburg. Dave was a dedicated public servant and worked diligently for the community. The run/walk is open to all ages and abilities and the new “Dave Fleetwood Memorial Trail” will be available for those wishing a leisurely walk on a firm and stable surface accessible to all wheeled devices. All proceeds will fund the “Dave Fleetwood Memorial Scholarship” to recognize a Pleasant Valley High School graduate who exemplifies the outstanding attributes of Mr. Fleetwood.
