Bei Houztekk sind schon ein paar Jährchen seit der Gründung vergangen, das erste Release im Jahr 2008 wurde regelmäßig bei FM4 gespielt. Besonders bei Houztekk ist, dass es nicht nur ein einfaches Label ist, sondern auch Kunst & Kulturverein, Musik Label, Booking Agentur und Künstlernetzwerk. Besonderes Augenmerk wird auch auf Visuals gelegt. Gegründet wurde das Label 2008 in Oberösterreich von Maximilian Meindl und Jürgen Höglinger und steht in Linz vor allem für eins: die besten Underground-Partys der Stadt. Veröffentlicht wird alles, was irgendwo zwischen geradlinigem Techno, Jazz, House und verschnörkeltem Electro liegt. In eine Schublade lässt sich Houztekk schlecht und auch ungern stecken.
