April 5th at the District Bar, 6 to 8pm, (916 W. 1st Ave, Spokane, WA) URSA plays a Benefit for our homeless Vets! VOA's Homeless Veteran Program: Two Transitional Homes: Eagles Rest and Rest And ReCoop. Between two homes, space for up to 11 Veterans. Community living takes place own bedrooms, eat together, and interact together, working with Goodwill to learn jobs, and interaction in society. VA works with them to ensure they are receiving their VA Benefits, and help them locate a job, with them eventually graduating from the program, and moving out on their own living as normal of a life as they can. Last year, 36 Vets graduated. First home opened in 2008, with a second one in 2009. Successful. Lets raise some dough to give 'em a hand up!
