This is an inaugural festival of this nature, which is brought to by Umhlobo Wenene FM and the City of Champions in collaboration with the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, Department of Arts and culture, Sun Boardwalk, Event Hire Network and Sun Goddess. The event aims entertaining, informing and educating patrons about the rich heritage of ams-xhosa and ubu-Xhosa (the way of living). All performances will be in iso-xhosa. All Performers will be dressed in iso-xhosa. All festival attended are encouraged to come dressed in iso-xhosa or a touch of your own traditional attire, if you are not um-Xhosa. Come and taste the true and genuine Xhosa Dishes, cooked in the traditional xhosa manner and come and enjoy uMqombothi, AmaRhewu, uMvubo, isiGwamba, Intyabontyi while we will dazzle you with local and international fashion designers in isis-Xhosa. this is a family fun-filled day where children are allowed as special games are organised for them. We aim to remind the nation that iso-xhosa is cool and that you can write, compose and sing in iso-xhosa successfully. Nelson Mandela was a Chief of abaThembu. We cannot for his legacy as um-Xhosa.
