Andrew Samuel Andrew Samuel is a songwriter based in Newtown, Sydney. Over the last 12 years Andrew has played in bands as well as performing as a solo artist. His latest single, Mediocre, was released on January 22 and has frequently been featured in the Triple J Unearthed charts. Christine Jane Christine Jane is a Sydney based singer songwriter with a unique style she calls ‘cinematic blues’. Her second record ‘HEADMILES’ was released in October 2015 and has been enjoying nation-wide airplay across ABC radio. She comes to Songwriters Live to share songs from the album that ARIA and Golden Guitar award winning singer/songwriter/producer Shane Nicholson describes as “Impeccably produced, world-class songwriting, all topped off with THAT voice!! Everything about this album is stunning!" Damien Binder Singer-songwriter Damien Binder has been writing & recording his original style of moody alt/folk/rock for the last ten years. Since his self-titled debut album in October 2000, Damien has gone on to perform both nationally and internationally, supporting some of the worlds leading acts. He has played at the SXSW festival in Austin Texas and supported the likes of David Gray, Marianne Faithfull and Ani De Franco. He has previously been a finalist in the prestigious NZ APRA Silver Scroll Award for Songwriting, and also a finalist for the International Song Writing Competition (ISC) on many occasions. With his soul-searching songs, Damiens music has been likened to such artists as Crowded House, Ryan Adams, and Evan Dando. Reviewers have often described Damiens songs as intelligent song craft, exquisite and honest.
