A rehearsed reading with live musical accompaniment of two late Sherlock Holmes tales... “When one considers that Mr. Sherlock Holmes was in practice for twenty-three years, and that during seventeen of these I was allowed to keep notes of his doings, it will be clear that I have a mass of material at my command…” Dr John Watson, The Adventure of the Veiled Lodger Come and hear two of the great detective’s less well known adventures at the Rosie, as Nunkie Theatre Company's Robert Lloyd Parry teams up with mezzo-soprano Patricia Hammond and multi-instrumentalist Matt Redman. Can Watson act quickly enough to save the life of his friend in The Adventure of the Dying Detective? What tragedy lies behind the grotesque facial disfigurement of the The Veiled Lodger? And will Watson ever be persuaded to spill the beans about the politician, the lighthouse, and the trained cormorant…? This is the first of a series of rehearsed readings of classic London tales, underscored by atmospheric music and accompanied by the kind of singalongs that the Rosie would have reverberated with in its Music Hall Days.
