Assalamualaikum!! NIU Muslim Students Association invites you to the annual Discover Islam Week which will take place the week of March 27th inshaAllah (God Willing). The theme of this years DIW is "Islam in the West". In view of the current political climate, NIU MSA is bringing you a few speakers to educate the NIU and Dekalb communities about various topics being faced by muslims and non-muslims alike. The week also consists of social events such as a tour of the local mosque and bowling night. March 27th- Islamophobia and politics by Hend Makki at Regency room in Holmes Student Center from 7-9pm. March 28th- Islam in the West by Faizan Mumtaz at Lincoln hall in Holmes Student Center from 7-9pm March 29th- Bowling in the Huskies Den from 7pm ($5/person) March 30th- Muslim Women in the West by Marcia Hermansen at the University Suite in Holmes Student Center from 7-9pm. March 31st- Potluck at the Islamic Center of Dekalb at 2pm (after 1st salah).-801 Normal rd, Dekalb, IL. Hope to see you all there inshaAllah.
