Mike Dawson and his family moved to Moncton in 2000 after serving 20 years in the Canadian Forces. Upon his arrival in Moncton Mike worked at the Moncton Garrison managing all of its Fitness, Sports & Recreation programs (2000-2002); then as the Executive Director at the Moncton Military Family Resource Centre (2002-2009); and currently works in the non-profit sector at the Moncton Community Chaplaincy (2010-present). Mike has served on the Greater Moncton Homelessness Steering Committee; as a Board Member for Hospice Greater Moncton and currently serves on the Board of Directors at Glad Tidings Church. Mike has been married to his wife Carolyn for 34 years; has three adult children Matthew, Shawn and Amber; and one grandson Michael with three grandchildren due in May & August, including twins. Mike enjoys the outdoors, exercising and spending time with family & friends. Mike realizes how privileged he has been to have served his country of Canada and now looks forward to your support in serving Ward 2 on Moncton City Council.
