Start your 2016 Disc Golf season off right and start PUTTING! Every Tuesday night starting January 5th from 6 to 9 PM bring your two favorite putters to the Zion Lutheran Church and test your skills! For 7 weeks this will be a family-friendly atmosphere, while having nightly prizes and cash payouts to keep it competitive! Participate in 1 to 2 events per night plus a free range putting area with 20 foot ceilings. Some games will change weekly but here are some ideas 1025 Longest Streak of Putts made from: 20,25,30 feet Most putts made in 30seconds Dice Pig The goal of this league is intended to raise funds for: Des Moines Disc Golf club, course repair and improvements, and the Becky Zallek Disc Golf Course. I understand the location is not ideal but, Zion Church is letting us use this location for basically free. (All they ask is for a free will donation at the end of the 7 weeks) But this does mean it is a Tobacco, Alcohol, and Drug Free facility. We don't want to shy anyone away from participating, so the events will be designed as a "flex start" so you may participate, record your score and leave if you wish, you won't need to be there for the full three hours. It'll be a first come first serve basis so the upstairs putting area will be available to shoot around and warm up while waiting. More details to come. As this is my first attempt at running an event, I am more than willing to listen to advise or ideas to make this a hit. ( yes I know... A location where we can DRINK would be better...
