The Alexandra Frost Septet (7 piece jazz ensemble) are delighted to be invited to perform as part of the Prospect Twilight Concert Series in February, 2017. With a rapidly growing following in Prospect, the Alexandra Frost Duo has entranced local audiences over the last 18 months with their take on jazz, blues and cabaret tunes with Alexandra Frost on lead vocals accompanied by Ed Heddle, accomplished jazz pianist and composer. Now, Alexandra will take to the stage led by Musical Director/keyboard player Ed Heddle, with some of the finest jazz players Adelaide has, to create a memorable evening. With a selection of upbeat jazz and blues, inspired by the likes of Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, Aretha Franklin and Etta James, and some of the male greats such as Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles, Alexandra Frost and the musicians that work with her are bound to lift your spirits as you lose yourself in a special, musical experience that will move you and entertain. Taking place across each of the four Fridays in February, Prospect’s annual Twilight Concerts are one of the best kept secrets of all time. Held in Prospect’s beautiful Memorial Gardens, (off Menzies Crescent, next to Prospect Oval), the Twilight Concerts fill the soul with great music in a relaxed, yet vibrant atmosphere. Bring your family, friends and favourite picnic kit and you’re all set for a memorable night under the stars or enjoy the bbq provided. Unwind to the sound of some upbeat jazz and blues and kick off your weekend well as you get comfortable over a drink and a bite as the kids roam the newly upgraded play-ground and other entertainment close by.
